Description
Summary:碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 應用心理學系碩士在職專班 === 101 === The study was conducted to understand adolescents’ personal feelings about lives in institutions by interview. The purpose is to give institutions more understanding about adolescents’ thoughts and feelings so that institutions will be offered blueprints for future developments concerning projects and methods in favor of adolescents’ growth, independence, and self-discipline. In turn, their misbehavior and illegal deeds can be changed. The results of the interviews indicate that adolescents in institutions find discipline there are so severe and inflexible that they feel unhappy, stressful, and rebellious living in institutions. Consolers’ personal style, when warm and supportive, makes them feel under care like family. Adolescents feel social workers, who help them deal with difficulties in life, make good shelters by providing them with acceptance and affectionate support. The results, limited to interviewees’ subjective statements and current discipline of institutions, can only be applied to the given institution.
