Summary: | 碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 應用心理學系碩士在職專班 === 101 === The main subjects of this thesis is to understand the relationship between self-construal and relational orientation among Chinese as well as the possible linkage between relational orientation among Chinese and relational bullying under Chinese culture and society for the Junior High School students. This study sampled 449 students from 7th, 8th and 9th grader among four Taoyuan county public schools by adopting survey research based on the score results of “self-construal scale”, “relational orientation scale” and “bullying pattern scale”to perform statistical analysis. Furtherly utilizing “Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient”to compare with the relationship among self-construal, relational orientation, and bullying pattern. The research result of Junior High School student has been found out as followings:
1. The level of “interdependent self” is much higher than “independent self”.
2. The most frequent type of bullying is “relational bullying”, followed by “sexual bullying”, “verbal bullying”,”physical bullying”,”counterattach type of bullying”, and“cyber-bulling" as the least one.
3. There is significant negative correlation between "interdependent self" and "bullying patterns".
4. There is significant positive correlation between “independent self”and “physical bullying”as well as “counterattach type of bullying”.
5. Those who has relational orientation will have more "relational bullying" behavior
6. There is significant positive correlation between "interdependent self" and "relational orientation". Correlation is strongly influenced by traditional Chinese culture.
This thesis provides the suggestion based on the results of this study for the reference of educational institutions, parents and the researchers in the future.
