When Master Yin Shun was alive, many of his students, followers, and researchers gathered to celebrate his birthday by organizing seminars panels, or publishing articles year after year. These activities did not stop even after Master Yin Shun passed away. Since 1985 when Master Yin Shun was 80 till now(2012), A total of 299 papers, 20 books and 23 Dissertations had published , and these publications indicated the impacts and his importance, even a track record of a religious practitioner has contributed. The theme of this article "the formation and prospect of YinSunology" covers two main parts: The first part introduces the core belief of YinSunology referring to Master Yin Shun’s publications, then discuss the thought debate in Yin Shun era by collecting and classifying his articles that responses to problems of the times, finally comprehend the early 19 century how Master Yin Shun interacted with Buddhism and the society of the time . The second part based on post Yin Shun era researches and publications in past 22 years, from academic, religious parties' studies on Yin Shun master’s personal conduct, behavior and philosophy published, summarize and classified these study outputs into 3 major categories: 1. Buddhism for the Human Realm, 2. Buddhist Philosophy, 3. The evolution of Buddhism. With all information gathered, we can have distinct analysis on which of these researches or theories was influenced by the post Yin Shun philosophy. The third part concludes the above and submits a potential future development of YinSunology.
