Summary: | 碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 企業管理學系管理學碩士在職專班 === 101 === People’s habits of using the Internet have changed. Nowadays, they access to the Internet by not only computers but also tablets, smart phones or digital TVs. Gradually, surfing the Internet has become one of people’s daily habits, which has resulted in the emerging of clouding issues. Cloud computing promotes a great number of related industries and, meanwhile, brings infinite business opportunities. Technological industries in Taiwan provide practiced techniques and complete supply chains, so Taiwan has become a major exporter of hardware and platforms related to cloud-computing in the world. Clouding-related hardware and platforms exported from Taiwan are stable in quality and extremely competitive in prices, so software providers and system integrators for major applications in the world have chosen one after another hardware and system platforms from Taiwan as the main combinations for their applications.
In this study, the approach of case study was employed to investigate new product development processes in the networking and communication industry in Taiwan in order to understand how R&D personnel, PMs, and plant personnel should cooperate with one another and continue product projects successfully when confronting problems in product development processes. In this study, three projects were respectively selected from two product categories, namely OEM and ODM, in the networking and communication industry for comparison and investigation in order to establish a reference to internal process improvement, further maximize the resources applications, and optimize the problem improvement.
It was found that problems were different in different product types in different stages in a new product development process, and the methods for cooperation and support were also different. For example, R&D and design issues were the most frequent problems happening among ODM products in the design stage. Generally, the most frequent cooperative approach used by three parties, namely R & D personnel, PMs, and plant personnel, was “design support” when they encountered R&D and design issues. The most frequent problems among OEM products in the design stage were product planning issues. When those problems happened, the parties usually solved the problems by means of design support. In the pilot stage, the most frequent problems among ODM products were manufacturing issues. The three parties usually solved those issues by over-time support and process improvement support. The most frequent problems among ODM products in the pilot stage were R&D and design issues. When encountering those problems, the three parties usually applied test support to the problems. the business opportunities on the Internet are infinite, the business activities on it have become very popular. There are four categories of major opportunities on it, which are infrastructure, software and services, content,, business behavior respectively. This project will explore the implementation model of virtual store that belongs to the category of business behavior.
The purpose of this project is to propose from the integrated viewpoint of Internet marketing and operations management an implementation model for the enterprises that intend to enter this market. The related literature will be reviewed in order to find the basic elements of establishing and managing virtual stores. Then from the point of Internet marketing, the domestic consumers and designers will be interviewed to understand the characteristics of consumers’ behavior and the designing factors. And from the point of operations management, the managers and the designers will also be interviewed for finding out the relationship between management requirements and ways of store design. Based on the results of survey, the project will explore the consideration factors in implementing virtual stores from the point of technology, marketing, and management respectively. An integrated implementation model will then be developed. Finally, a prototype of virtual store will be designed, and then used to verify the effectiveness of the model.
The completion of this project can provide a guide of implementing virtual stores for the domestic enterprises. It can also be used as the basis for further study about other management issues of virtual stores.
