Corporations exercising cross-cultural training help employees understand the differences and similarities between various cultures and allow them to learn how to work together with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Furthermore, providing staff with efficient expatriating experience also plays great significance in moving a company towards a more international direction. Inadequate or ineffective overseas assignments not only may put the development of a company at risk, but it may also cause conflicting relations with partners abroad. Additionally, it may have a profound negative impact on the individual working in a foreign country. This research aims to study the influence of an expatriate’s work experience on cross-cultural adaptability. The theory and concepts are first based on documents related to cross-cultural management and training done in Taiwan and other countries. The research will then look into the experience of individuals who have worked aboard, as well as the perception of those who will be assigned to work overseas in the near future. Differences from different perspectives between the above mentioned two groups will be highlighted via examining through SPSS program testing. Finally, the results will be offered to potential expatriates as reference prior to departure. If succeeded, the results of this research can also be used by Human Resources in companies when it comes to selecting candidates to work aboard and have a positive effect in terms of supporting a positive cross-cultural development. 楊百川 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 87 zh-TW |
