Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 國際創業與經營管理學程碩士在職專班 === 101 === Differences among countries have been always a big issue. Third-world countries provides to the first-world countries with raw materials. But how is the relationship among these two differentiated parts? Many companies worldwide have taken advantage from the poorest countries, outsourcing their production process to places where the human rights have no consideration. To reduce or avoid unethical practices from big fishes to disadvantaged economies, the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) has developed some regional Fairtrade Organizations. The goal is to ensure that the link between both parts is fair and mutually outcomes are beneficial. Through this thesis it is explained the principles by which this Organization is based as well as an overlook of the Fairtrade market in the latest years. On the other hand this thesis makes a quantitative analysis of the Spanish Fairtrade market, making a comparison among the certified and non-certified products in the country and the distribution channel used. Through this study it can be learnt how the tendencies due to the current economic situation are changing the trading way of these products. Furthermore, in the Spanish case I focused on the coffee consumption. The overall analysis allowed me to make the comparison with the European role and contribution in these activities.
