This study adopted experimental methodology to explore the effects of applying Facebook to blended e-learning environment for adult students. Students’ learning satisfaction, performance on the course, and social presence were examined in the study. Subjects were university students from two classes of the same course. The data obtained from the research were analyzed by SPSS with the following statistical methods: descriptive statistics, independent sample means T test and one way ANOVA for analysis. It was found from the study that applying Facebook in a blended e-learning environment makes significant contributions to students' learning satisfactions, affective connectedness, and sense of community. However, no significant difference was found of students' performances on scores of pre-course test, midterm exam, final exam, and course grade.
