Along the thoughts of Heidegger about the Law of Identity in his appropriation of Aristotle, the relationship between thinking and being could be the actual problematic vortex of the alleged Waishengren identity. In contemporary Taiwan, the word “Waishengren” carries so obscure of its meaning that causes its state of not being thought and spoken in ordinary language. In a form of autoethnographic writing, the thesis uses its techniques of repetition, contradiction, collage and many others as a way of practicing autoethnography, in which the subtle differences that usually escaped our attention are shown and led to some new possibilities about thinking and speaking Waishengren aloud. In chapters 3 & 4, the mixing existence and nonexistence of Waishengren in the common search of grand narratives are interrogated in many details of everyday life. But as a Waishengren, such a name shows not only an illusion of ethnic identity but also a paradox of him/herself between the personal and the historical situation. In the end, the Waishengren interpellated by the writing, just like Heidegger said as a way of Sagen, is to try to dwell with unquestionable identity on this island. But there are still some untouched questions: who is not outside of the identity, that is, “the other”? And another question, extracted from the creative novel All Men Brothers as supplement to the previous ending, arises: Where on earth could the process of dwelling so smoothly happen? 宋文里 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 70 zh-TW |
