Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to investigate the cognition of smoking risk and myth of tobacco quitting between smokers in workplaces, as a reference for the strategies of tobacco quitting in workplaces in the future. Methods: In this study, two ways were used to collect data: In-depth interview and Focus group. Five focus groups and thirteen personal interviews were completed, in which forty six people in total received the interviews. After data retrieved, the data were integrated and classified by similar meaning, and then formed conceptual groups. Results: The results showed that there were four myths of smoking cessation in this study, including the myth of “personal experiences of smoking cessation”, “increased health risk”, “health promoted by smoking”, and “increased interpersonal relationships and work performance by smoking”. Conclusion: Because of the myths of tobacco hazards, the staffs in workplace have no motivation for quitting smoking.
