Summary:碩士 === 佛光大學 === 未來學系 === 101 === The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of reminiscence activity therapy sessions on changes among the aging individuals in Taiwan. The study investigated whether the activity of reminiscence was associated with successful and positive elderly persons. In the research, reminiscence activity/ therapy involved recalling and sharing positive and pleasant past events and experiences in order to support the self image and to increase self understanding to the elderly. Relevant activities includedshared activities of life review、Narrative reminiscence、story telling, clip review、music review and sharing questions in conversation. The present results provide support for the notion that reminiscence activity holds the positive effects on the attitude of the agingr individuals in Taiwan. First, the elderly individuals are found to have a better understanding of modern values, intimacy inside the groups, the attitude of the leadership, and how to have a better friendship. Second, within the activity of “dreams come true”, the elderly arise the courage to pursuit their dreams. In addition, the activity of story telling builds up the individual self-esteem and the intimacy with family members. Third, reminiscence activity assists the older people to maintain the intimacy of the social group on which they are increasingly dependent. Fourth, reminiscence activity successfully assists the elder to transform their negative images toward life into a positive future attitude.
