碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 金融碩士在職專班 === 101 === In addition to traditional determinants, this study investigates whether blood types or Chinese zodiacs of insured will affect the claim rate of physical damage insurance of private passenger automobile. The objects of the questionnaire were the insured of physical damage insurance of private passenger automobile. 500 questionnaires were issued, and 282 questionnaires were collected and all valid. By adopting logistic regression analysis, the results of this study are shown as below, 1. Demographic variables, such as gender, age, income, occupation, or blood type, are not significant determinants of the physical damage insurance claim of private passenger automobile. 2. However, the married status and Chinese zodiac of the insured ignificant determinants of the physical damage insurance claim of private passenger automobile. The claim rate of the married insured is higher than the un-married. The claim rate of insured born in Rabit year (Chinese zodiac) is lower than the insured of other Chinese zodiacs.
