In different polymerization processes, there are three experimental results are observed in this thesis: (1) the temperature range of blue phase become narrow after polymerzation; (2)the temperature range of amorphous blue phase remains before and after polymerization, but the temperature range of cubic blue phase would be double (~15 °C) after polymerization; (3) the temperature range of amorphous blue phase remains before and after polymerization, but the temperature range of cubic blue phase would be extend over 60 °C after polymerization. By studying the morphologies of the polymer-network structures in these samples, one will know that for blue phase with 60C the diameter of the polymer chain is less than 50 nm and the polymer network is denser.
