碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 都市計畫與空間資訊學系 === 101 === Hsinchu Science Park was established in 1970. It has a huge impact on Hsinchu area for the past 40 years. Regional development and population growth has a close relationship, this study examines the relationship between industry development and population migration of Hsinchu area of 307 villages from 1973 to 2012. This research has studied the spatial distribution of population migration, also using GIS as analysis tools to analysis of Hsinchu Science Park and surrounding area’s population growth. Statistical test also been performed between Hsinchu Science Park development and population migration. Statistical Testing confirmed that the Hsinchu Science Park’s development and population migration has a highly correlation. The results of this study provided important insights for policy and future research on the Science Park development and population migration.
