The study uses in-depth interviews as the research method and interviewed a school reading activities administrative staff, six teachers, six parents and six students for the study objects. The interviews for the teachers are with all-in interview, for parents and students are in random. The major findings are: 1. The six-graders are with lower willing to participate school’s reading activities. It is better if teachers can lead students to read and arranges the time for most students can participate. 2. In the performance of teach reading, it shows the lack of reading-teachers, as well as the teachers lack of relating read-teaching targets and teaching methods as the results. It suggests teachers should be encouraged to take part in seminars, reading-clubs, professional field discussion to enrich teachers’ teaching ability. 3. It is with the low number of students taking the initiative to use the library resources. In addition, the financial and human resource support in the library are still inadequate. 4. Students are with the identity in reading and reading activities, but they have not develop the habit in initiative-to-read. 5. Students’ reading attitude has a bias in favor of leisure-oriented. They prefer to read the books with both pictures and literary compositions or even with the fewer amount of text. Teachers’ guidance-reading works better than the rewarding system and enhances students’ motivation in reading. 6. It is easier for students build up reading habits if their family members have reading habits. However, the study shows the reading habits of the students’ family and reading beliefs are still insufficient. With the low cooperation from parents, it should be enhanced through parenting education. 7. Students with more reading resources at home are easier to build up reading habits and the school is the most important place in providing students reading resources.
