They have their own unique characteristics on connotation, content and form but have different ways of expressing. In addition to affection, the connotation of thoughts and beliefs is the same inner factor on music and literature. The writers use words as medium to make abstract music art produce harmonic resonance and dialogue by giving logical and reasonable description. This thesis fully researches the “Chuan Tang Fu” to sift the “Music Fu” which is defined by the study. This thesis also investigates their thoughts and beliefs of music from the level of music developing in Tang Dynasty. The purpose is to analyze the Tang writers’ thinking logic to music culture from the performance of Fu literature. Trying to clarify what writing forms music Fu was expressing, what thinking outlines and expectation music Fu was emerging under the specific history factors and policy making. This study analyzed the developing environment of Tang music Fu from the affected factors of palace music and literature development, the succession and expansion of pre-Tang music Fu, and the imperial examination system Fu. It also discussed the writing thoughts and beliefs of Tang music Fu from the aspects of history, policy, society, literature and so on.... This study observed that the Tang music Fu’s music education emphasizes on the thoughts and beliefs of music, the reflection of esthetic feeling and symbol in pre-Chin, instead of the truth of present music developing. The opinions of the Confucian school and Taoism are main contents in the music thoughts of Tang Fu. The thoughts and beliefs of music in Taoism have obvious political intention because Tang emperors serve Lao-Zi as their ancestors. On the theory of thoughts and beliefs of music, they worship ‘nature sound’, ‘musical tone’ from Taoism. Confucian musical pedagogy follows the tradition of pre-Chin, which emphasizes on the value of “aesthetic” and “virtuousness”, discriminates and authenticates the morality and depravation of music, and elucidates the political function of music. During the pure music technique and skill improvement in modern time, Tang music Fu strengthens the tradition of music moral connotations, this is just the value of Tang music Fu. In addition to this, Confucian school, Taoism and Buddhism have influenced with each other after Wei-Jin. This is also stated in Tang music Fu. On the analysis of aesthetic connotation, from the statistical observation of products, the writers with music appreciation prefer writing about music interest by creating music poems, and seldom write their music inclination by Fu. On the formal aesthetic connotation performance, they pursue for the beauty of words, content, structure and so on..., and they also quote the stories, proverbs in music quite often, and create by the sensibility and connotation of music. On the aspect of music appreciation, they use literal music ‘language’ as support without describing by music ‘note’. express music aestheticism on behalf of literature form without the description of professional terms in music, and conclude an aesthetic attitudes of ‘harmony is beauty’, ‘tone is beauty’ and ‘magnificence is beauty’.
