Summary: | 碩士 === 大葉大學 === 工學院碩士在職專班 === 101 === Environmental Education Act in Taiwan was implemented on June 5, 2011, which enables our environmental education institutionalized and legalized. It should have a significant impact on the promotion of the policy for environmental education. The objective of this study is to explore the current situation and problems encountered for the elementary school faculty and staff while they receive the required environmental education course of four hours. The sampling of this study is for the faculty and staff at the elementary schools in Changhua County. Questionnaires were designed to collect the relevant information, and ANOVA analysis was conducted. The different backgrounds of the samples would affect their basic cognition on the Environmental Education Act, the specific practices of the school could achieve the requirement of the Environmental Education Act, and the discrepancy between the ideal and reality after the implementation of Environmental Education Act would be found. This study also recommends the subsequent study based on the individual psychological characteristics of the samples. If a comprehensive survey could be conducted, it would be conducive to the understanding and clarification of the current situation, specific practices, needs, and difficulties of Environmental Education Act implemented for the faculty and staff at elementary schools.
