Summary:碩士 === 大葉大學 === 工學院碩士在職專班 === 101 === In this study a reading picture book program with environment protection topics was carried out and applied on the 3th graders. The influences on the school children's cognition and practice of environment protection in daily life are concerned. The researcher employed the cross-comparison method between an experimental group and a control group in teaching. Through the questionnaire survey the results are analyzed by proceeding with quasi-experimental pattern. There are three sections in the questionnaire, such as “basic information of students”,“cognition of environment protection in daily life” and “practice of environment protection in daily life” respectively to covers the whole related aspects. The answers of question are weighted by the Likert 5-point scale and the collected data are analyzed by SPSS statistics software. Descriptive statistics, Independent sample t test and Analysis of Covariance are carried out for factor analysis. The results show that:(1)the effectiveness of teaching by reading picture book is significant on environmental education;(2)in comparison with conventional teaching, the picture books teaching can be significant on cognition, however, not on practice;(3)cognition and practice of environment protection in daily life are not positive correlated;(4)teaching with picture books is positive for active learning. In conclusion the reading picture book program with environment protection topics can actually promote the cognition and practice of environment protection in daily life for school children.
