Summary:碩士 === 大葉大學 === 工學院碩士在職專班 === 101 === The purpose of this study aims to discuss the influences and the effectiveness of integrating environmental education with the picture book teaching on the topic of global warming and the influences of elementary school students on global warming knowledge, awareness, attitudes and behavior. Two groups of students from the 3th grade of Yongjing elamentary school of Chanwha county were selected. The experimental group received picture books teaching methods and the control group received exposition-teaching methods. Questionnaire results were analyzed with the SPSS V12, descriptive statistical, independent samples t test, paired samples t test, one-way analysis of variance and analysis of covariance methods. The results are as follows. From the analysis of students’ background information, we found that there was no significant differences between girls and boys in their global warming knowledge, awareness, attitude, and behavior. The educational levels of students,father had no correlation with the global warming knowledge, awareness, attitude, and behavior of the students.Mother's education level significantly correlated. From the analysis of paired samples t test, we found that there were significant positive effects in global warming knowledge, awareness, attitude, and behavior in the experimental group and the control group. Before teaching there were no significant positive effects in global warming knowledge, awareness, attitude, and behavior. From the analysis of covariance, we found that there were significant positive distinction in global warming knowledge, awareness, attitude, and behavior. Finally, we made suggestions for the institutions of education and school, school teachers, picture book creators author, and future incorporating picture books into environmental education research.
