Summary: | 碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 休閒事業管理系碩士班 === 101 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the interrelationship between academic stress and self-adjustment of high school students. With convenience-sampling questionnaires as the strategy of collecting data, this study targeted the 101-shool-year students of the high schools, public and private, in Taichung Costal Regions. 930 questionnaires were allocated and 827 were recollected, with 88.9% available recovery rate. The data attained went through the analyzing process of descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance and multiple regression analysis, and the following results were obtained:
First, “personal factors” are highest-related to high school academic stress; second, high school students tend to self-adjust through “problem focus;”third, different genders, educational systems, and monthly-test rankings will cause significant distinctive academic stress and self-adjustment; fourth, high school students’ academic stress and self-adjustment are positively related; fifth, the “personal factors” of high school students’ academic stress truly have predictive ability on their self-adjustment.
Based on the findings above, a conclusion can be made that high school students’ parents, despite their different educational levels and occupations, make little difference to the students’ academic stress and self-adjustment. “personal factors,” in addition, are highest-related to high school students’self-adjustment. Eventually, according to the research results and findings, this study will offer relevant suggestions as references for families, schools, educational promotional institutions, and further research demands in the future.
