Summary: | 碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 營建工程系碩士班 === 101 === Asphalt concrete road pavement contains bituminous material and particulate which are mixed in a suitable proportion and heated to the specified temperature according to the pavement specifications. In Taiwan, the hot mix asphalt (HMA) has been widely adopted in the road pavement construction. The thesis employed infrared thermal camera to capture the surface temperature information of HMA, and the multilayer level set approach was employed to analyze the collected thermal images. Based on the minimization of the energy, the multilayer level set method implicitly presents the regional boundaries as several nested level lines. By increasing iterations and preselected level values, these lines evolve close to the level boundaries. In doing so, the given thermal images can be segmented into several sub-regions such that each sub-region is homogeneous. Furthermore, the regional boundaries can be extracted to identify those locations with low surface temperature during the pavement installation. The field engineers can get the knowledge about the surface temperature changes with the analyzed results with the multilayer level set approach.
