First is the Web-based Moldbase Design Navigation Process System. Users can design moldbase in webpage without using CAD software. Following the navigation steps can help the designer complete moldbase design step by step. By saving the information about standard types and sizes to establish the moldbase database. While the user starts to design a moldbase, the database will search the size of cavity to provide useful information. Also the system can show clearly the two-dimensional view by HTML5 Canvas. If the value the system provided is inappropriate, the designer can modify value manually in the column. Second theme is to integrate processes for moldbase and mold design, which is based on the browser of Pro/ENGINEER as secondary development tool. After entering the information of the moldbase, the user needs to provide the data of mold and other parts and design different moldbase with corresponding mechanism features for different cavities and that will be a complete mold design process. All the cavities and parts have a certain rules to create the name in the navigating process system, so the system can establish the mechanism features automatically to reach the goal of process integrated.
