Summary: | 碩士 === 中臺科技大學 === 文教事業經營研究所 === 101 === The study researched the relationship between the Physical professional competence and effective teaching performance. The study method was questionnaire survey and the study object was the physical education teachers of elementary school in Taichung city. It used the principle of stratified random sampling. The quantitative analysis data are 408 and the valid respond rate 83. The useful data are 339. All collected data were analyzed by the method of descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation. According to the analysis of the study, the results were as follow:
1. The current situation on the professional competence of the elementary school physical education teachers in Taichung city is above the standard average. The highest dimension is administrative management ability, and the lowest dimension is academic research ability.
2. The current situation on the effective teaching performance of the elementary school physical education teachers in Taichung city is above the standard average. The highest dimension is classroom management ability, and the lowest dimension is teaching evaluation and feedback.
3. The male teachers, teachers who graduated from physical education related department and participated in physical education study activities in recent three year had higher physical professional competence.
4. The teachers who graduated from physical education related department and participated in physical education study activities in recent three year had higher effective teaching performance.
5. The professional competence and effective teaching performance of the physical education teachers had higher positive correlation.
