It is the most important part of the current energy market. The energy conversion efficiency of solar panels is still relatively low in the current photovoltaic (PV) market. However, if we make the angle of solar light and PV as a vertical, we can obtain the maximum power conversion. In this thesis, the actual production of a solar tracking system is implemented to verify the proposed theory which is to improve the efficiency of energy conversion. The single-axis mechanical structure of tracking system is developed as a in this thesis. The Mitsubishi FX2N PLC is used as a core controller to drive motor for tracking the solar by time interval control to achieve the maximum efficiency. The micro inverter is implemented to convert the DC power to the 220V AC power and feed into the utility power.
