It will cause potential danger because the government doesn’t manage and stop doing activities at dangerous coast effectively. The purpose of the studies, we both probe the situation of Taiwan waters sport and the development of waters sport policies in Taiwan. We take historical search here and organize literature and analyze it, the result as follow. Taiwan waters most of the waters, and which island to the West and the South-East Coast and Penghu Islands to engage in water sports activities. Taiwan island''s regional distribution of parts suitable for water sports on the West Coast, under the Government''s effective planning and civic groups strongly forward, prevalence of various types of water sports. In the past, we primarily focus on strategy and economic development so that neglecting waters sport. Even though the people basic swimming ability fell behind Europe, America, Japan and so on. In this turning point, the government needs to cooperate with non-governmental organization, promoting the basic swimming ability of people. In order to popularize the waters sport to different stratum, elementary, junior, and senior high school are most important. Popularizing people do waters activities, realizing correct concept so that promoting the water athletics sport and the development of Taiwan exercise.
