碩士 === 中華大學 === 資訊管理學系碩士班 === 101 === It have been 40 years since Information Management research started, Information Technology deeply affects the core of enterprises and personal life and makes a great impact on the research direction and achievements with speedy changes of information technologies. In the past, information management research often used the methods in other areas to solve information management problems, however in recent years, new information technologies are keeping emerging are making research topics changing with time we need to .look into if that affect The conclusion of the as the usage of research methods.bove, information management research covers a variety of disciplines, it’s not easy to understand the development of information management research methods. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the current situation and trends of research methods types adopted in domestic IT Management colleges departments, and the study will be used to analyze the differences of research methods adopted between major information management colleges’ graduates and analyze the possible causes to make those differences. And the result will be summarized for information management research and provide the result of research to future information management researchers for reference. This research selected Phd. and Master graduation theses from all the domestic Information Management departments as the study subject in order to study the current status and trends of study methods in the theses. This research collected a total 19,539 graduation theses from year 1990 to 2012 have been uploaded to National Digital Library Theses and Dissertations System in Taiwan, and used content analysis to analyze those theses. There are 12 research methods in this study, includes Interviews, case studies, investigation, experimentation, mathematical modeling, system construction ... etc.. The result of trend analysis showed that most common methods from 1990 to 1997 were System Construction &; Architecture and Conceptual model; System Construction, Survey Method, Mathematical modeling were main methods from 1998 to 2006; Survey Method has been main method since 2007.The result of the research analysis can be as reference materials to the teachers in the field of information management and graduate students engaged in the study of reference.
