Therefore, it is an important thing how to integrate and analyze the relationship between tourism resources and leisure farms in Taiwan. In this paper, the methods were used including non-metric multidimensional scaling (MDS), cluster analysis, GIS spatial statistical analysis: Kriging method and overlay analysis. Finally, we conducted the analysis of spatial distribution about leisure farms regarding tourism resources in Taiwan. Natural resources and humanistic resources of leisure farms and tourism resources of various types in counties and cities of Taiwan were investigated, and information was collected to discuss the correlation between tourism resources and leisure farms. The results showed that: (1) The correlation between water activity-based leisure farms and tourism resources was higher. The number of water activity-based leisure farms could be estimated from the number of ancient roads, scenic spots and hot spring resorts, while other types of leisure farms had a lower correlation with tourism resources. (2) On the basis of the distribution of resources of leisure farms in Taiwan, three clusters including high intensity-oriented type (multiple types), middle type (single or synthesis of multiple types) and dispersion-oriented type (single type) were defined. (3) To comprehend spatial correlation, MDS was adopted to depict the perception maps of MDS of leisure farms and tourism resources in Taiwan, and features of distinct resources could be classified in different quadrants. (4) Kriging Method was adopted to estimate the spatial contour map of leisure farms and tourism resources of all types, and overlay analysis was conducted. The result showed that New Taipei City, Nantou County and Yilan County had higher value in leisure farms and tourism resources. (5) Analysis of diversity, it also showed that Nantou County, Miaoli County and Yilan County had higher characteristic. To sum up, the relationship could timely offer a planning opportunity for the introduction of diverse information on tourism resources and serve as a reasonable basis for future tourism development in counties and cities of Taiwan.
