碩士 === 中華科技大學 === 土木防災工程研究所在職專班 === 101 === Public art is commonly seen in our living environment, such as train stations, squares, service areas, art museums, museums, schools, airports, and even roadside. Public art beautifies our living spaces as well as provides visual delight. Firstly, public art at a train station will be chosen for study. Then, through literature review, expert interview, and questionnaire survey, the researcher will investigate the impacts of the security, environmental compatibility, types, maintenance and management on the citizens in terms of their interaction with public art. Besides, measures of improvement will also be discussed in the study. The findings from the research indicate that related institutions, agencies, public artists, and management departments should realize “public participation” is the key to successful decision-making of public art creation at train stations. In addition, daily cleaning schedule and periodic maintenance & repair plans should be strictly followed. Moreover, relevant information about public art should be regularly announced in the hope of making more contributions to public art at train stations.
