Deep flowing is a commonly used way to reduce the amount of recycled water in plant factories. The study designed and experimented two methods to investigate their impact on plant growth. The first method is to explore and analyze the impact of reducing water level in the water circulation system. The second method is to explore and analyze the impact of installing channels on the water bed in the water circulation system. Water savings were estimated for both methods. Actual situations of plant growth in different environments were recorded. Statistical analysis was performed on the collected data. The final results indicate that both methods would not have major affect on plant growth in plant factory’s water circulation system.
