Summary: | 碩士 === 長庚大學 === 電機工程學系 === 101 === This thesis presents design and implementation of a poultry humane stunner with EEG measurement system, which is to promote animal welfare and observe the stunning effectiveness of poultry. The proposed poultry humane stunner system consists of a poultry humane stunner and EEG measurement circuit. In the poultry humane stunner, an active clamp flyback converter combined with full-bridge inverter is adopted to generate the desired voltage and current of the stunning poultry.
In addition, in order to increase the operational reliability of the proposed stunning system, software and hardware protections are adopted and they include overvoltage and overcurrent protections. The EEG measurement system uses three stages of operational amplifier circuits to amplify brain signals. Moreover, the EEG measurement system adopts the single chip (CY8C27443) to acquire the brain wave signals. The brain ware signal can be displayed on PC by labview software through communication interface. It can judge the stunning effectiveness of poultry after poultry is stunned. Finally, a prototype of the poultry humane stunning system using utility line of 110V under maximum output voltage of 300V, maximum output current of 1A, maximum output power of 300V and output frequency of 400Hz has been implemented to verify the feasibility of the overall system.
