Summary: | 碩士 === 長庚大學 === 化工與材料工程學系 === 101 === Due to the rapid development of modern industry, organic pollutants have been detected in aquatic environment. The wastewater containing methanol (MeOH) and isopropanol (IPA) are discharged from the cleaning process of semiconductor fabrication. In this study, Rotating packed bed was used to produce smaller droplets and thus enhance mass transfer due to higher rotating speeds.
The performance of O3/H2O2 process in a rotating packed bed in treating aqueous solutions containing methanol and isopropanol was investigated. In order to obtain the optimize condition, the effect of pH, H2O2 concentration, rotating speed, gas flow rate, liquid flow rate, and initial concentrations of methonal and isopropanol were explored.
In O3/H2O2 process, the results indicated that around 70% of methanol removal and 84.8% of isopropanol removal were obtained at pH 11,with methanol concentration of 100 ppm and isopropanol concentration of 100 ppm, H2O2 concentration of 0.2 g/L, gas flow rate of 5 L/min, liquid flow rate of 0.5 L/min, ozone concentration of 2000 ppm, and rotating speed of 1800rpm.
