The study also discusses the differences on emotion management and teaching effectiveness of teachers from different background in junior high schools in Chia-yi County. “TheQuestionnaire of Teachers’ Emotion Management and Teaching Effectiveness” are used as the survey tools. A total of 400 questionnaires are retrieved, and 366 are valid questionnaires, which accounts for 91.5% of all the questionnaires handed out. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics, single sample t-test, one-way ANOVA(analysis of variance), Pearson Correlation, and Scheffé method. The study conclusions were made as below: 1. The emotion management ability of junior high school teachers in Chia-yi County is above average. The best emotion management ability is “emotion awareness,” and the weakest is “emotion adjustment.” 2. The teaching effectiveness of junior high school teachers in Chia-yi County is above average. The highest average score is on “material organization and preparation,” and the lowest scores are on “teacher efficacy,” and“ multiple teaching strategies.” 3. The Chia-yi County subject teachers with the age above 51 and more than 21working experiences, graduated from graduate schools or colleges have the best emotion management ability. 4. The Chia-yi County subjest teachers with the age above 51 and more than 21working experiences, graduated from graduate schools or colleges have the best teaching effectiveness 5. There is an obvious positive correlation between teacher’s emotion management and teaching effectiveness. The higher ability of emotion management junior high school teachers in Chia-yi County have, the better performance of teaching effectiveness. The lower ability of emotion management junior high school teachers in Chia-yi County have, the worse performance of teaching effectiveness. According to the conclusions, the researcher offers some suggestions for the education administration authorities, junior high school administrations, junior high school teachers and future researchers.
