A lot of enterprises have implemented information technology to increase their competition advantages. From the recent cases, we are able to see the negative effect on people when using the mobile technology. This research will be based on the literature of ubiquitous technostress to investigate how the use of consultation system can influence the employees’ role stress and productivity. Moreover, it will analyze what impact the role stress and productivity can induce job satisfaction and turnover intention. By doing so, the managers are able to understand the reasons and factors which cause the ubiquitous technostress and related impact by using the consultation system. Thus, the research subject of this study is based on the medical doctors who have been using the mobile SMS in the consultation system to cooperate with other doctors in the hospital. By conducting a series of survey, 263 questionnaires were received, and 254 were valid ones. The result shows ubiquitous technostress will positively impact on the employees’ role stress, and indirectly reduce the productivity. When role stress occurs, it will be negatively related to the productivity, and indirectly reduce job satisfaction, and positively related to turnover intention. Finally, we are able to conclude that ubiquitous technostress indeed influences the employees negatively; for instances, it will raise role stress, affect productivity indirectly, reduce job satisfaction, increase turnover intention, etc. Therefore, we infer that when using mobile technology becomes heavier and the functions of mobile technology become more advanced, we as employees will depend on it more. As this happens, the enterprises should concentrate on solving the problems and negative impact to the employees and organization which are caused by ubiquitous technostress.
