Summary: | 博士 === 國立中正大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 101 === A low power bio-signal acquisition and classification system for body sensor network is proposed. The proposed system consists of three main parts: 1) a high-pass sigma delta modulator based bio-signal processor (BSP) for signal acquisition and digitization, 2) a low-power, super-regenerative on-off keying transceiver for short range wireless transmission, 3) a digital signal processor (DSP) for ECG classification. The BSP and transmitter circuits, which are the body-end circuits, the power consumes about 0.5mW and it can operate for over 80 days with two zinc-air batteries. As for the RF receiver and digital signal processor, which are the receiving-end circuits that can be integrated in smartphones or personal computers, the power consumption is less than 1 mW. The wavelet transform-based digital signal processing circuit can be adjusted and controlled by cardiologists on the external devices. All the chips are fabricated in TSMC 0.18μm standard CMOS process.
