Taiwan's new foreign immigrant population (also known as the "fifth largest ethnic group"), these social changes was previously national development policies, national education policy and public administration are not covered . President Ma Ying-jeou has instructed its positioning as a national security issue, and to convene inter-ministerial Council for develop response strategies.
The number of foreign spouses and their children increases every year, the children of foreign spouses have formed school education, politics, economy, society and culture and spread to the country's level of compulsory education. Educators face of Taiwan's population structure changes, the concern is born in Taiwan, the new immigrant children educational problems, so the impact it is very worth discussing.
Compulsory education is the soul of a nation, currently Taiwan's birth rate decreased, the share of the children of new immigrants ratio increased year by year, the new immigrant children in compulsory education on the impact should not be underestimated. Therefore, in response to new immigrant children multicultural curriculum and teaching status, issues and coping strategies were discussed.
