Summary: | 碩士 === 國防大學理工學院 === 化學工程碩士班 === 101 === Mono- and bi-rare earth modified copper catalysts (CuPdCeZn and CuPdCePrZn) were prepared by co-precipitation method from metal salt precursors for the autothermal reforming of methanol to produce hydrogen with poor CO content. Both samples were characterized by temperature programmed reduction (TPR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and BET. The oxidative steam reforming of methanol (OSRM) reaction was tested in a fixed-bed reactor with 100 mg catalyst by adjusting the ratios of O2/MeOH (O/C) and H2O/MeOH (S/C), and the weight hourly space velocity (WHSV). The aim was to autothermal at low temperature on the optimal O/C, S/C and WHSV conditions. The results showed that the OSRM reaction could autothermal at temperature lower than 120 C under 30 h-1 WHSV, O/C and S/C molar ratios of 0.5 and 1.0 and approached the better catalytic performance. The temperature of middle catalytic bed (Tm) arrived 310 °C after 5 min initiator for the CuPdCeZn catalyst and 290 °C after 5 min initiator for the CuPdCePrZn catalyst. The methanol can be converted completely for both catalysts. The selectivity of CO (FCO) and hydrogen yield (YH2) approached 7% and 1.5 for the CuPdCeZn catalyst, while, 4% and 1.7 for the CuPdCePrZn catalyst.
