However the lastest design or research must begin from prototype design. This research will perform the dynamic simulation, transient stress and strain analysis. The results can help the designer to find the optimized design during the prorotype design phase. Then the designer can consider the lightweight and lifecycle analysis to reduce the R & D cost and shorten the development time.
This research is to analyze the motion of structure of the machine gun by the Finite Element Method through the commercial software. The procedure of firing will be analyzed. This research will focus on mechanism and not consider about the influence of bullet. The motion of structure has the features of large displacement, small strain and impact. Therefore, we shall consider the influence of strain and stress on the structure.
After simulation and execution we can get the value of stress and strain in different node to obtain the results of dynamic structure behavior. The results of research can establish the initial research capability of structure dynamic of automatic weapon and establish the complicated mechanical system, etc. It also can prove that the dynamic simulation, stress and strain analysis can apply in all kinds of weapon system. So the designer and R&D personnel can develop the new type weapon system through these procedures and analyze all kinds of design data to get the optimized solution in short time.
