This thesis focuses on the effects of cutting parameters on surface roughness in side-milling of stainless steel (SUS 304) with an end-mill cutter. The cutting parameters include cutting speed, feed, and depth of cut. In the study, we first scheduled a series of cutting experiments to establish the roughness model, and then analyzed the characteristics of surface roughness. The adequacy and accuracy of the proposed model is experimentally verified.
