Summary: | 碩士 === 元智大學 === 經營管理碩士班(領導學程) === 100 === The information flows faster and faster nowadays. Taiwanese people’s attitude towards working is affected by Western life style. We no longer take our job as our whole life. As the matter of fact, more and more Taiwanese are seeking a perfect work-life balance. However, sales representatives are usually under a great business pressure because their performance are mostly based on how much they sale. Hence, they don’t have regular and fixed working hours.
Furthermore, they even have to contact with clients after work. To make it short, it’s hard for sales representatives to reach the balance between work and life. Many researches found out that an imbalance life style may make employees suffer from pressure which will further make them tired mentally and keep them away from work.
The work-life balance we’re discussing here is not about how to manage the time efficiently but about the perfect balance between life and work. Everyone has his/her own perfect work-life balance. To sum up the above, the main purpose of this research is to discuss the relationship between internal/external locus of control and professional burnout first. And then discuss whether the work-life balance affects the relationship between internal/external locus of control and professional burnout.
We use questionary as the mean of survey in this research and receive 400 valid samples from the pool which the survey pool members are sales representatives from various industries. Through SPSS and these valid samples, we can precede the regression model of the relationships regarding work-life balance, burnout, and internal/external locus of control in the hope of evaluating any practical probabilities that we get from empirical results to stimulate the quality in working space and the work-life balance of sales representatives.
