However, there is a great difference between dementia elderly and disabled elderly care. Thus the care environment and the model should be distinguished, and current domestic models on the dementia care including: home care, community care and institutional care, etc. As patient''s condition changes needs different care technologies and environment, the fundamental posture of human life affects the demends for design of the environment. For this reason, this research generalized the categorization of elderly’s body positions (orthostatic, seated and supine), and regarded as a point of view to study the discrepancy in daily living status, behavioral characteristics and dementia patient''s different body positions at environment of institution. And used method of behavior settings to probe into the demand and the difference in diet, recreation and social, physiological clean, situation of life and different body positions of elderly in institution. In this research, used 15 dementia patients from Martin De Porres Nursing Home as an object of study,longitudinal tracing investigation and actual record patient''s all day, the record comprises time, duration, location, activities, interpersonal relationship and so on. Besides, marking dementia elderly''s posture, frequency and times, interactive object and situation of life on the third floor plan. According to the study results found that dementia elderly''s body positions effect upon the behavioral characteristic, demands and situation. Furthermore, physical and mental Conditions, conscious of self-expression, models on the dementia care and institution''s spatial arrangement also influence the situations and demands.
