In 2004, Huang et al. [2011] employed Steady-State Hydraulic Tomography (SSHT) to estimate the heterogeneous hydraulic properties from sequential pumping tests of 11 observation wells on the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (NYUST) campus. Thus, we conducted the sequential pumping tests in 2010 at the same locations as in 2004 to determine the reproducibility of pumping tests in 2004 and 2010, such as relationships between pumping rates and drawdown variations. The results show that the specific drawdown (s/Q) of pumping test that the standard correlation coefficient (COR) all over 0.8 and the reproducibility is existence obviously. The statistics validation results of SSHT show that, the average absolute error (L1) is 0.166, root mean square error (L2) is 0.195 and the COR is 0.776. On the other hand, the statistics validation results of Transient Hydraulic Tomography (THT) show that, L1 is 0.099; L2 is 0.143 and COR is 0.897. A comparison of results obtained by SSHT and THT suggests that reproducibility exists in the heterogeneous hydraulic properties. SSHT estimates transimissivity (T) of 2004 and 2010 with an L1 is 0.001; L2 is 0.002 and COR is 0.423, while THT estimates T of 2004 and 2010 with an L1 is 0.003; L2 is 0.006 and COR is 0.511. In addition to, compare the estimate storativity (S) results of THT show that, L1 is 0.014; L2 is 0.136 and COR is 0.213 between 2004 and 2010. We proved the distribution of heterogeneous hydraulic properties of an aquifer have reproducibility at NYUST campus site. Finally, the SSHT and THT validation results shows that the THT more suitable for characterize the heterogeneity of aquifer than SSHT, and also proved that the robustness HT apply to the sequential pumping test .
