Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 電機工程系碩士班 === 100 === This thesis presents a novel control algorithm that uses two Static Var Compensators (SVCs) to balance a three-phase induction motor with Steinmetz connection. To improve the unbalanced operation characteristics of the three-phase induction motor supplied by a single-phase source, the author analyses the steady-state sequence equivalent circuits of the motor connected in Steinmetz circuit and finds out the balanced condition, which can be searched by the proposed algorithm. Two sets of SVCs are used to achieve the balanced condition. Finally, simulation by Matlab- Simulink is carried out to compare between simulated and analysis results. In addition, the circuit scheme and its usefulness are observed by checking the motor operation characteristics when working on different conditions like changing the motor parameters or varying the values of the SVC components. It has been confirmed that the circuit scheme will run below the current harmonic standards.
