Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 電子與光電工程研究所碩士班 === 100 === In this study, we discuss the discomfort of fatigue and dizziness to be caused by convergence error and disparity factor when viewing 3D movies. With analysis of electroencephalogram (EEG), the results would be the objective evaluation of physiological fatigue, and a questionnaire survey is further utilized as the subjective index of physiological fatigue. With single-blinded, randomized parallel-controlled trials, total 38 participants, averagely aged 20.86, received Standard, Convergence Mismatched, and Disparity Mismatched experiments. Standard experiment tends to provide stereoscopic images with both correct convergence and disparity for the participants; Convergence Mismatched provides blurred stereoscopic images with incorrect convergence; and, Disparity Mismatched provides the ones with incorrect disparity. EEG is measured all the way, and Standard is regarded as the baseline to observe the activity change of β wave under Convergence Mismatched and Disparity Mismatched. As the increase of convergence and disparity would enhance the activity of β wave in prefrontal and central, the results of questionnaire survey show that the participants are likely to waste attention and appear eye fatigue when viewing ill-quality 3D images. The results of the β wave trend show that β wave increases with the viewing time of 3D image. β wave increases gradually and is higher than Standard group when watching Convergence Mismatched and Disparity Mismatched 3D images. The larger convergence presents, people would appear eye fatigue and waste more attention. When image disparity exceeds the adaptation range of human bodies, physiological reactions of eye fatigue, dizziness, and uncomfortableness would be caused.
