After the financial tsunami, Taiwanese economy revived fast. Lots of comparisons and reports show that the environment in Taiwan is good for business development, and the government tries to make the market more active. It can be expected that there will be much more Taiwanese century-business in the future. This study is going to discuss the change of strategies and key performance indicators in different strategic transition stages of longevity of businesses. We try to understand how they respond the impacts of environmental changes, and how they transform the strategies into daily activities. We utilized multiple-case study to investigate five large enterprises in different industry. After analyzing the data from the five enterprises, we have eight conclusions, as following: (1) the transitions of strategy of the five enterprises result from the impacts of environmental changes. (2) the strategic transitions often follow top-down approach. (3) the sales growth is one of key objectives for strategic apexes. (4) "focus" is important. (5) the indicators of customer dimension is becoming meticulous. (6) the choice of strategy will affect its value activities which relate to the importance of the learning and growth dimension. (7) the consumer in Taiwan prefers the abroad brands more than local ones. (8) When gaining information, the five enterprises prefer their own system than external experts.
