Ugly part of a product, usually refers to mechanical structure and component. They are considered to be disharmony, not appropriate to be shown to the user. Therefore, designer try their best to hide or shrink these structure and part, to achieve beautiful appearance. However, there is no absolute rule to tell whether an object beautiful or not. The concept of "ugly" depends on the experimental group contrast with control group. Mechanical structure and component are also important parts of the product, why do we must have to hide these things from user at all? I want to change the general idea of "ugly", and the way when we deal with it. To discover new possibility of arranging mechanical structure and component, giving new meaning to these elements, even enlarge the existence of these sections, through the theory of Deconstruction, showing the design of turning ugly into beauty.
