Therefore, the requirement of the transmission speed becomes faster and faster. We have to pay attention to the quality of transmission. Due to the ubiquity of Ethernet, the ever-decreasing cost of the hardware needed to support it, and the reduced panel space needed by twisted pair Ethernet, most manufacturers now build Ethernet interfaces directly into PC motherboards In this thesis we use mixed-mode network transforming 4-port differential network to measure a pair of 2-port single-ended network Ethernet transformer. Furthermore, we use this scattering parameter to get Z parameter. Z parameter can express lump element characteristic, so Z parameter can be used to construct a simple T model equivalent circuit. We use Microwave office simulation software to simulate frequency response of T-Model Equivalent circuits for comparing result of measurement. Finally, we extend the single frequency T-Model equivalent circuit to a broadband equivalent circuit from 0.05 GHz to 0.25 GHz. The broadband equivalent circuit has better precision of phase.
