Its reluctance is that changes the current on electromagnet to produce magnetic force to stop flywheel. Such the coreless structure of the generator has high efficiency and high power weight ratio and it can improve the characteristics of overheating of the core in the traditional generator and decrease the starting torque. Then, the life of the generator can be intended. Due to the coreless structure, the total weight of the generator will be decreased. In this thesis, a disc type coreless generator with electromagnetic braking apparatus is built. The whole system includes mechanical power apparatus, the coreless generator, electromagnetic braking apparatus, and power converter. Electricity generated by generator needs enough to provide stable power for the panel of function display and electromagnetic braking apparatus that can produce stable reluctance of braking.
