Description
Summary:碩士 === 大同大學 === 電機工程學系(所) === 100 === An external electrode fluorescent lamp (EEFL) has the advantages of longer lifetime, higher power efficiency, and higher luminance than those of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL). Since CCFLs require additional balance transformer for each lamp, the balancing technique of the branched current is complex in the practical application. Therefore, the EEFL is developed and it is easy to be driven in parallel without the attached circuit. This thesis proposes a method to meet the zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) condition, lower the temperature of semiconductor, and satisfy the specification by selecting the quality factor to reduce the switching loss and obtain higher conversion efficiency. In addition, a Full-bridge RLC series-resonant inverter for EEFL backlight is analyzed and applied. The experimental results show that the proposed method has good performance, can meet specification, and lower bill of material (BOM) cost.
