Summary:碩士 === 大同大學 === 生物工程學系(所) === 100 === Recently, due to westernization of diet and, the abnormality in diet and lifestyle, there are many modern diseases of civilization such as hyperlipidemin, diabetes and metabolism syndrome. In view of the fact that the people realize foods is better than pharmaceutics to enhance human health, consumer will therefore favor the foods, depending on not only the flavors they like, but also the nutrition values of the foods. In 1999 the Department of Health, Excutive Yuan, R.O.C. had subscribed the Health Food Control Act to guarantee the safeties and functions of the health foods under the control of the government. Today various countries have their own correlated standards regarding the health foods. In Taiwan there are more than 200 regular health foods, which fall into 13 categories depending on the physiological functions for the blood lipid, digestive tracts, blood glucose, blood pressure, bodily fatigue, aging of the body, tooth care, liver protection, osteoporosis, immunomodulation, atopic allergy, bodily fat formation, adsorption of ferrous ion, and so on, proving a great variety of selection. The development of health foods has brought more competitions in the markets and has created a new era for the biotechnology, food technology and pharmaceutical industry in Taiwan. Through the industry-academic cooperation various industries in Taiwan have made much effort for the development of neutrceuticals. However, if they were not so skilled in many items for the certification application of health food, such as the procedure, the writing format of the experimental results, the experimental design and the preparation of documents, that a lot of money will be lost, without any success. This work is to collect and analyze the unsuccessful cases for the certification application of health food. Thereby the drawbacks will be understood and documented. This work has the flaw in view of the certification application of health food to make the analysis and correlation the results. It is expected that the future entrepreneur during the certification application of health food, can make more success, so that it will not only save the money and the time, but also make more progress in the development of health food in Taiwan.
