The content of this study contains the following four parts: (1) First the opposite conceptual structure was established through opposite event investigation, and sub-concepts were extracted for Temporal opposite representations; (2) product examples that met each of the representations and possible designs were analyzed; (3) Temporal opposite image tests were performed on the samples of various designs to investigate the constituent elements of Temporal opposite images and their relation with samples; and (4) Temporal opposite images that have influence to creativity and liking were studied. An Temporal opposite image can be formed by 5 sub-concepts, contradiction, conflict, mixing, contrast and dilemma. Its representations include (1) temporal contradiction: swinging contradiction is generated as one is unable to make a choice in this period of time; (2) temporal conflict: one now knows but does not do it, thus leading to impact to the future; (3) temporal mixing: one does 2 things at one time; (4) temporal contrast: results are created at both ends of spectrum due to change of time; and (5) temporal dilemma: the sequence in time creates difficulty in making choice. Product design methods that meet Temporal opposite images can be compiled as follows: (1) temporal contradiction: conveyance of product information in a sarcastic and exaggerating way; (2) temporal conflict: direct conveyance of product information in a threatening way; (3) temporal mixing: conversion of double functions into design elements of a product to allow fusion of 2 functions in one products; and (4) temporal contrast: an unexpected and yet interesting phenomenon that is created by change of product appearance or function in different times. The primary relation between samples designed based on various design methods and the Temporal opposite image is: (1) the samples of “contradicting hesitation in use due to product functions” tend to produce hesitant and low-profile images; (2) the samples of “contrasting result from product functions that has influence on the subjective perception.of users” tend to produce “deciding” and “conflicting” images; (3) the samples of “compatible result created from multiple functions of product” tend to produce deciding and balanced images. The “contrasting result from product functions that has influence on the subjective perception of users” has the highest evaluation for its creativity. The “compatible result created from multiple functions of product” has the highest evaluation in the category of liking to use. Yung-Chin Tsao 曹永慶 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 83 zh-TW |
