Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立體育學院 === 運動教育研究所 === 100 === Purpose: the purpose of this study was to examine the effects og goal setting on physical activity levels and expected value on aerobic exercise program. Method: Participants were randomly selected from aerobic classes at Taipei Song Shan Sports Center, 20 participants were randomly assigned on goal setting group as an experimental group, 13 participants were randomly assigned in the control group. Methods: the Exercise Expectation & Value Scale and Yamax SW200 Pedometer were utilized. Collected pretest data and posttest data were first analyzed by using SPSS for Windows 12.0, to obtain text analysis, statistical analysis, collaboration and deployment. Results were then analyzed again with Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, Stepwise Multiple Regression and One-way ANOVA Trend Analysis. Results: 1. the experimental group had significant effects between pretest and posttest. 2. the experimental group’s expected value of ability and psychological effect of failure can effectively predict physical activity. 3. the experimental group’s physical activity displayed a significant linear trend; on the contrary, but the control group did not. Conclusion: Given an appropriate and clear goal setting can enhance one’s value of expectation and physical activity.
